Position : MIG, TIG and ARC WELDING Technician(Make it Bold font )

We are a custom manfacturing / fabrication company located in Etobocoke, Ontario. We have an immediate need for a full time, long term welder/fabricator technician with opportunity to advance to d Supervisor position.

Applicants must be able to work overtime as required. Most work is project based, 80% stainless steel, 20% carbon steel and occasionally aluminum.

The ideal candidate should be able to:

Follow instructions, work well with others as well as independently and with minimal supervision
Use MIG & TIGmSMART and ARC welding per project requirements
Use weld processes such as: FCAW, MCAW, GTAW, SMAW, GMAW
Read and understand blueprints, engineered drawings, welding symbols, technical drawings and instructions
Able to read, understand and apply appropriate weld procedures, complete welding logs and examine welds to ensure they meet specifications/standards
Prepare jigs/fixtures/set ups for welding
Use grinding/deburring equipment effectively and as required
Working with overhead cranes & forklifts is an asset; training will be provided
Applicant will be asked to demonstrate welding capabilities at time of interview
CWB certification is an asset; testing will be arranged at time of hire if candidate does not have it

Requirements:
Proven experience as a MIG Welder or similar role
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read technical drawings
Ability to fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components accurately
Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Some technical experience or tech school desired
Three years of experience in commercial welding work.
Able to read/use blueprints
CWB certification is an asset; testing will be arranged at time of hire if candidate does not have it

Position : Brake Press Operator(Please make it bold font)

The ideal candidate should be able to

Work to methods & procedures specified in writing or given by oral instructions by previous shop practice
Assemble parts in fixtures for welding, trimming g, fitting, aligning, clamping where dimensions are governed by fixtures, templates, & pre-drilled holes
Straightening, aligning, & dressing parts & assemblies
Shaping metal parts having simple radii & angles by use of hammers & form blocks
Produce parts for, or perform operations on sheet metal parts & assemblies to be completed by others, where work involved is of difficulty corresponding to the above
Perform re-works & repairs to the level of difficulty appropriate to classification

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Some technical experience or tech school desired

Three years of experience in residential and commercial sheet metal work

Able to read/use blueprints

Safety and customer service oriented

Strong multi-tasking capabilities

Position : Tube and sheet laser operator(Please make it bold font )

The ideal candidate should be able to

Operate flatbed laser machines and monitor displays and progress
Operate tube laser machine and monitor displays and progress
Operate punch and laser combination machine and monitor displays and progress
Follow standard procedure work instructions
Complete all aspects of set up and set up maintenance on the equipment being operated including loading, installation and alignment of materials
Perform parts nesting, load and set up programs from shop drawings with minimal supervision
Read and interpret blueprints and drawings and create forming sequence
Follow written instructions, sketches, schedules, drawings and documents
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and safety procedures
Inspect own work and use inspection tools
Operate forklift to load, unload and handle materials required
Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Some technical experience or tech school desired
Must have at least 3 years’ experience with laser machine operation
Experience working with punch machine considered an asset
Experience working with different Bodor machine models an asset
Must have experience and knowledge working with sheet metal. Experience working with metal tubes and channels considered an asset
Must have knowledge of metal fabrication and experience with different types of metals (stainless, mild-steel, aluminum, etc.)
Must be able to perform parts nesting functions, load and set up program
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
Ability and willingness to learn and be trained to learn new skills
Bodor Sheet and Tube Laser Machines : 1 year (preferred)
Manual dexterity required
