Brass
Brass
Brass sheets with thicknesses ranging from 0.9mm to 5mm are laser-cut by us.
Due to its ability to be worked both hot and cold, brass is one of the most widely used grades for sheets and plates. Basic brass CZ108, a high purity cold forming brass with 37% zinc content, is employed in applications where excellent bending capabilities are required. Machines can work on it, but only slowly.
Brass has good cold heading qualities and good corrosion resistance. Very good bending properties go along with reasonable machining properties. Brass sheet that has been laser cut offers a good edge quality that is clean and prepared for subsequent processes like welding. When soldering, brazing, or using oxyacetylene welding, the alloy has outstanding weldability.
Sizes
The largest brass sheet size, regardless of thickness, is 2000 by 1000mm.
